About The Position
Spring Arbor Cottages of Fredericksburg is seeking a part-time Resident Assistant / Caregiver (PCA/CNA) to support residents during evening or overnight routines. The role provides hands-on personal care and helps residents feel safe and comfortable. Resident Assistants follow individual care plans, document care, respond to residents’ needs throughout their shift, and communicate with teammates to support consistent care. CNA certification is welcome but is not required for all Resident Assistant/PCA positions.
Requirements
- Dependable, compassionate approach to caregiving.
- Comfort providing hands-on personal care.
- Ability to complete required dementia training and background screening.
- At least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Nice To Haves
- Previous caregiving, assisted living, or memory care experience is preferred.
- CNA certification is welcome but is not required for all Resident Assistant/PCA positions.
- Experience as a PCA, CNA, Nurse Aide, Home Health Aide, or Caregiver is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with dressing, toileting, mobility, and other daily needs.
- Follow each resident’s care plan and document the care provided.
- Respond to residents’ needs throughout the shift.
- Communicate with teammates to keep care consistent.
