(PCA/CNA) - Certified Nursing Assistant
About The Position
Spring Arbor Cottages of Fredericksburg is hiring a part-time Resident Assistant/Caregiver for 2nd- or 3rd-shift work, with part-time and full-time opportunities noted for 3rd shift. The role supports residents through evening and overnight routines by providing hands-on personal care and helping make their days safe and comfortable. Resident Assistants follow individual care plans, document care, respond to residents’ needs, and coordinate with teammates to keep care consistent. Starting pay is $17.58 per hour, with higher pay based on experience. CNA certification is welcome but is not required for all Resident Assistant/PCA positions.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be able to complete required dementia training and background screening.
- Must be comfortable providing hands-on personal care.
- A dependable and compassionate approach to caregiving.
Nice To Haves
- Previous caregiving, assisted living, or memory care experience is preferred.
- Experience as a PCA, CNA, Nurse Aide, Home Health Aide, or Caregiver is a plus.
- CNA certification is welcome but is not required for all Resident Assistant/PCA positions.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with dressing, toileting, mobility, and other daily needs.
- Follow each resident’s care plan and document the care provided.
- Respond to residents’ needs throughout the shift.
- Communicate with teammates to keep care consistent.
