About The Position

The Reservation Agent supports customers, field team members, and U-Haul dealerships by handling reservation placement and equipment distribution. Under the direction of the Traffic Control Manager, the role involves assisting with customer calls, coordinating reservation and equipment management, and helping balance regional equipment inventory according to customer demand and productivity status. The position also supports U-Haul’s U-Box portable storage product. The job is based at 6210 Chef Menteur Hwy, New Orleans, Louisiana 70126, and is not eligible for employer sponsorship.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Working knowledge of office equipment, including multiline phones, phone etiquette, Microsoft Word, and email.
Proficiency in customer service, time management, and multitasking.
Must be legally authorized to work without requiring employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Assist with calls from and to customers.
Support field team members and U-Haul dealerships with equipment and reservation management and placement.
Direct incoming customers’ equipment to areas based on customer demand and productivity status to help balance regional market inventory and meet future demand.
Review reports that support effective equipment placement, customer reservations, contracts, equipment availability, and accuracy.
Assist with the U-Box portable storage product.
