About The Position

Givaudan is seeking a Research Scientist specializing in Delivery Systems for their Flavors and Ingredients division. This role, based onsite in Cincinnati, supports the co-creation process with customers by identifying the right delivery systems and solutions to create multisensory food experiences. The position reports to a Research Manager and plays a key part in developing innovative food and beverage applications. The role also contributes to more responsible products by supporting reduced packaging, waste, and extended shelf life through advanced delivery system expertise.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Food Science or related.
5+ Years experience in Research and Analysis within Food and Beverage industry or parallel.
Experience in defining and conducting research projects, project management, and presentation thereof.
Possess knowledge of methods and scientific processes.
Independently plan and executes technical projects.
Creative and innovative thinking skills to research problems and projects.
Understanding of business case development for capital planning.
Knowledge of food and flavor samples and its chemistry.
Contribute to the translation of technical reports on complex research.
Theoretical and practical knowledge of spray-drying and fluid bed processing.

Nice To Haves

Additional advanced degree helpful.
Experience with Innovative Drying Technology a plus.

Responsibilities

Identify technical gaps, develop and execute research to provide solutions.
Ideation and support in brainstorming new concepts, technical approaches and defining research proposals.
Manage projects to support core research directives.
Understand and improve existing projects, systems and techniques to optimize group efficiency.
Analyze and evaluation of experimental and production delivery system samples and related raw materials.
Reporting, presenting, and communication of proposals and results.
