About The Position

Givaudan is seeking an EHS Manager to direct and support all Environmental, Health, and Safety functions for a site. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with Givaudan EHS policies, processes, and all applicable EHS regulations. The EHS Manager will manage risk, drive cultural change to reduce incidents, and optimize the EHS organization to add value. A key aspect of this role is promoting a strong EHS culture across the organization.

Requirements

10 to 15 years’ experience in the industry.
Prior experience in an EHS plant role.
Appropriate country EHS qualification/certifications.
Fluent English.
Computer literacy.
Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, Risk Control.
Root Cause Analysis.
Process Safety Management.
Audit.
H+S Management.
Emergency Management.

Responsibilities

Support and advise site management on all EHS aspects, acting as a coach to line managers to ensure EHS is a line responsibility.
Develop and deploy EHS vision aligned with company strategy for the site, considering both global OPS/EHS strategy and local legislation.
Manage compliance with all EHS Regulations.
Responsible for all Site EHS trainings for new and existing employees and contractors.
Deploy behavior-based safety programs.
Ensure safety and Health programs are strictly implemented.
Ensure emergency planning is effective.
Responsible for accurately completing and submitting regulatory reports.
Ensure KPI reporting is complete and initiate actions to drive towards agreed targets.
Track site safety behavioral audits and incidents, analyze trends, and report to the management team.
Lead the employee safety committee to promote safety awareness and improve site safety by driving identified issues to closure.
Manage all hazardous and non-hazardous waste activities.
Manage all documentation required.
Maintain good relationships with relevant external stakeholders (authorities/communities/network).
Act as primary contact for Federal, State, and local EHS regulatory agencies.
Act as main point of contact with other departments: Regulatory, IT, regional Management Team.
