About The Position
As the Sourcing Manager – Colors, Flavors, Gum Ingredients & Essential at Mars Snacking, you will lead sub-category sourcing across a regional and global spend portfolio exceeding $100 million. You will translate global category strategies into execution plans that optimize cost, quality, service, and supply resilience, using supplier partnerships, commercial negotiations, and market insights. The role supports business growth through disciplined project execution, proactive risk management, and compliance with Mars sourcing governance frameworks. The position leads sourcing events and negotiations, analyzes market, financial, cost, and spend data, manages supplier performance and relationships, and works with global and cross-functional teams to deliver category priorities and savings. It also involves protecting supply security, regulatory compliance, quality, and ethical standards.
Requirements
- Degree in Business or Supply Chain.
- 5–8 years of strategic sourcing experience in FMCG or Food & Beverage.
- Proven track record leading negotiations, RFPs, and end-to-end contract execution.
- Agility and communication skills to navigate and influence within a global matrix organization.
- Ability to analyze complex market data and developments and drive insights and actions.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end sourcing events, including RFx design, market and spend intelligence, and supplier evaluations.
- Draft Business Award Recommendations (BAR) aligned with strategic procurement frameworks.
- Partner with cost modeling teams to lead commercial negotiations and execute regional and global legal contracts and SLAs.
- Secure competitive pricing, volume rebates, capacity, and service terms.
- Conduct financial, cost, and spend analyses to inform negotiation strategies and drive Value Leadership initiatives that deliver category savings.
- Drive supplier performance and relationships through structured Supplier Relationship Management (SRM).
- Partner with Global Category Leads, R&D, SQA, Supply, and Finance to deliver business priorities.
- Assess and mitigate supply chain risks to safeguard supply security, regulatory compliance, quality, and ethical standards.
