Product Manager - Natural Colors
About The Position
The Product Manager - Natural Colors is the creative and commercial driving force behind Döhler's North American colors portfolio. Based in Princeton, New Jersey, this high-visibility role shapes how consumers experience the visual appeal of food and beverage brands. The position owns the end-to-end strategy, lifecycle, and market growth of the colors and coatings portfolio, with responsibility for revenue, profitability, and market expansion. It connects technical innovation with commercial success through collaboration with sales, R&D, and marketing, while communicating product value and capabilities to key client accounts.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or a closely related discipline.
- At least 3 years of product management, product development, or R&D experience specifically within the colors market.
- Ability to translate complex chemistry into clear, compelling commercial messaging.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% to meet clients and industry partners.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end strategy, lifecycle, and market growth of the colors and coatings portfolio.
- Manage P&L, revenue, and profitability targets to expand the market footprint.
- Use market intelligence, consumer behavior insights, and competitor tracking to identify trends and develop product breakthroughs.
- Partner with Sales and R&D to connect technical innovation with commercial success and equip the sales team with value propositions and pitches.
- Present product stories and technical capabilities to key client accounts.
- Work with marketing to develop campaigns, training tools, and launch collateral.
