Research Engineer - Performance Capture

We are seeking a Research Engineer to join our R&D team at Synthesia. The role involves working on cutting-edge problems to create highly realistic and lifelike synthetic humans through text-to-video technology. The ideal candidate will have a passion for pushing boundaries in the AI field and experience with the software development life cycle. You will be part of a collaborative and supportive environment, working alongside a team of researchers and engineers to deliver state-of-the-art solutions for human tracking in both monocular and multi-view video.

Research and develop highly realistic, emotional, and life-like synthetic humans through text-to-video

Push the boundaries and uncover brand new solutions to challenging problems in the AI field

Work in a fast-paced start-up environment

Experience with the software development life cycle, from ideation through implementation, testing, and release

Extensive knowledge and experience in the domain of multiple view geometry and non-rigid motion tracking

Contribute to the development of a world-class 4D capture facility

Deliver state-of-the-art solutions for tracking humans in motion (face, body, hands, clothing, hair) in both monocular and multi-view video

Collaborate with a team of researchers and engineers in the R&D department

Work with a modern volumetric capture studio and engage with the production crew

Contribute to the future of synthetic media and programmable video through Generative AI

• Passion for working on cutting edge problems in the AI field
