Machine Learning Engineer - Large Models

We are seeking an experienced Machine Learning Engineer to join our team at Synthesia. As a key member of our R&D department, you will be responsible for developing highly realistic and life-like synthetic humans through text-to-video technology. Your role will involve coding and building working systems, collaborating with research teams, and taking ownership of production pipelines. Developing a LLM-based TTS system to provide voice clones that are indistinguishable from real voices

Creating high quality, production ready code

Taking ownership of production pipelines

Implementing solutions based on hypotheses, ideas, or papers

Running experiments to evaluate and verify hypotheses

Enhancing models and algorithms for text-to-video synthesis

• Experienced Machine Learning Engineer
• Passion for working on cutting edge problems
• Ability to create highly realistic, emotional, and life-like synthetic humans through text-to-video
• Familiarity with the software development life cycle
• Experience with ideation, implementation, testing, and release
• Ability to code and build working systems
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment
• Ability to collaborate with multiple research teams
• Familiarity with VALL-E, TorToise, Voicebox, SPEAR-TTS, MusicLM, and more
• Love for machine learning and large data
• Background in Computer Science
• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Substantial experience working with and training Large Language Models on sizeable clusters
