About The Position

Trane Technologies is hiring a Rentals Account Manager in Fishers, Indiana, to drive the development and expansion of its temporary climate-solutions rental business. The role focuses on developing and closing rental sales opportunities, including emergency response rentals, cooling contingency plans, and planned, seasonal, and special-event rentals. The account manager creates technical solutions and rental proposals tailored to customer needs, and coordinates with Rental Services teams on market strategies, equipment shipments, and returns. Customer engagement is prioritized; when not working directly with customers, the employee collaborates with colleagues in the office. Travel to customer job sites is required, where work may take place outdoors or in mechanical and equipment rooms.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in engineering, engineering technology, business, or an equivalent field from a four-year college or university, or an equivalent combination of experience. Candidates without a four-year degree are encouraged to apply.
• At least 3 years of experience in commercial HVAC systems or rental equipment/services.
• A valid, in-state driver’s license held for at least 12 months.
• No major or frequent traffic violations, including DUI, hit and run, license suspension, reckless or careless driving, or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Develop and close sales opportunities to grow emergency response rentals, cooling contingency plans, and non-emergency rentals, including planned, seasonal, and special-event rentals.
• Create accurate, timely technical solutions based on customers’ temporary needs and specifications and the available rental equipment.
• Prepare rental quotes from initial request through proposal, including equipment quotes and complete turnkey solution proposals.
• Work with Rental Services teams to develop and coordinate vertical-market strategies for temporary solutions in the assigned market.
• Coordinate equipment shipments to and returns from jobs with the Rental Services fulfillment team.
• Travel to customer job sites.
