About The Position

White Cap is hiring a Rental Yard Associate to clean, inspect, maintain, and prepare rental equipment for customers and delivery. The role supports a distributor serving professional contractors and major construction projects. Associates follow company safety policies and procedures and may perform other duties as assigned. The job is physically active and may involve working outdoors, lifting and carrying equipment, and standing for extended periods.

Requirements

• Generally 0–2 years of experience.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds in a physical environment.
• Ability to stand for periods of time up to and exceeding 60 minutes.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to work outdoors.
• Ability to heavy lift up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely.
• Knowledge of construction and industrial products.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Knowledge of machines and hand and power tools.
• Bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Remove dirt, concrete, and other debris from rental equipment and the work area using provided hand tools and cleaning equipment.
• Ensure rental equipment is in good, usable condition before it goes out to customers.
• Inspect rental equipment for damage and report any damage according to established procedures.
• Oil and lubricate tools, equipment, and tilt-up braces according to specifications.
• Prepare and stage rental orders for delivery.
• Follow company safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
