Rental Sales Agent
About The Position
The Rental Sales Agent rents vehicles and promotes products and services at airport rental counters. The role involves processing rental contracts, listening to customer needs, and recommending products and services that can improve their travel experience. Agents use a consultative approach to upselling while providing professional, friendly service that builds customer trust and loyalty. This is an on-site, customer-focused position that requires flexibility to work all shifts. Compensation is $15.00 per hour plus unlimited commission, with average full-time earnings stated as $15,000 per year. A shift premium may apply. The compensation plan includes a bi-weekly hourly wage plus commission, incentives, or bonuses; New York and Puerto Rico employees receive weekly wages. On-the-job training is provided to enhance professional sales skills. Employee discounts include discounted car rentals and discounted prices on Avis/Budget car purchases. Perks may vary based on full-time or part-time status and location.
Requirements
- Effective verbal communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Basic computer skills, including typing and data entry.
- Professional, engaging, and customer-focused personality.
- Comfort recommending products and services based on customer needs.
- Flexibility to work all shifts.
- Ability to sit, stand, and type for prolonged periods.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Nice To Haves
- Six months of real estate, retail, or consultative sales experience in a fast-paced environment.
