About The Position

Kodland is an international online school dedicated to helping children aged 8-17 develop essential digital skills and foster creativity through technology. We offer programs in areas such as Python, Roblox, Minecraft, and Digital Creativity, delivered live via Zoom in 1:1 or small-group formats with a focus on project-based learning. Our mission is to cultivate confident, logical thinkers with strong technological literacy and problem-solving abilities. This role involves delivering online trial lessons, assessing children's needs, recommending suitable programs, and guiding families through the enrollment process. The role is structured as an independent contractor position, primarily serving the US market, with a typical schedule of 20-25 hours per week, mostly during US after-school/evening hours and daytime weekend slots. Compensation includes a fixed pay per completed trial lesson plus performance-based bonuses, with a structured onboarding process and ongoing training and support provided.

Requirements

  • Clear, confident spoken English, easily understandable for US parents.
  • Reliable laptop or PC with a working webcam and microphone.
  • Stable internet connection suitable for uninterrupted Zoom video calls.
  • A quiet, professional workspace with the camera turned on.
  • Consistent availability of 20-25 hours per week during prime time (weekday US afternoons/evenings + daytime weekend hours).
  • Genuine comfort communicating with both children and adults.
  • Ability to think independently, adapt to each family, and actively lead the conversation.

Nice To Haves

  • Background in sales, customer service, customer success, tutoring, or coaching.
  • Prior experience working with children and/or parents.
  • Experience working remotely and managing your own schedule independently.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver 1:1 online trial lessons to children aged 8-17.
  • Assess the child’s background, interests, goals, and prior experience through targeted questions.
  • Lead a short hands-on activity using prepared materials (e.g., simple coding, game logic, digital task).
  • Recommend the most suitable Kodland program and learning format based on the child's needs and engagement.
  • Answer questions, handle basic objections, and guide families toward an enrollment decision.
  • Build rapport with children and parents during trial sessions.
  • Participate in administrative tasks such as 1:1s, team meetings, and internal webinars.
