About The Position

SAIC is seeking an experienced Controller Training Solutions (CTS) Remote Pilot Operator (RPO) to support air traffic controller training for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) at its Regional Training Site in Denver, Colorado. This is not a UAS, UAV, RPV, or drone pilot/operator position. The RPO plays the role of pilots and other controllers in an air traffic controller training simulator. Using a simulated radar display and voice communication system, the RPO simulates pilot actions and communications with remote air traffic control facilities during medium- and high-fidelity training exercises. The RPO receives voice commands from students, enters appropriate information into the automated system, translates displayed information into ATC terminology, and responds to students through the voice communication system using proper phraseology. The selected candidate must complete classroom certification, including a test on airspace and procedures, and lab certification, demonstrating performance as an RPO on all positions.
