About The Position

At Regions, the Relationship Banker I provides an exceptional customer experience on the cash line and by phone while helping improve customers’ financial wellness. The role creates personal connections during transactions, identifies ways Regions can meet customer needs, and helps resolve customer service inquiries. It offers an entry point for candidates with teller, limited banking, or some retail sales experience who want opportunities for growth and development. The successful candidate is ambitious and adaptable, communicates effectively, and provides personalized service while educating customers about ways to bank when, where, and how they choose. The position is based at the Bonita Springs branch in Bonita Springs, Florida. It is full time, incentive eligible, and eligible for overtime under the Fair Labor Standards Act for hours worked in excess of 40 per week. The listed market range target provides a minimum of $39,601.10 and a median of $46,880.00; incentive earnings may also be available based on performance against defined metrics and goals.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Ability to work Saturdays as needed.
Ability to handle cash and process cash transactions.
Ability to communicate in person, by phone, and through electronic channels.
Ability to use a computer frequently, including typing and sustained attention to a monitor.
Ability to walk and stand for extended periods.
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
Ability to follow policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Ability to assist customers with digital banking offerings.
Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
Ability to oversee large sums of cash.
Strong customer focus and relationship-building skills.

Nice To Haves

One year of banking, cash-handling, and/or customer service experience.
Bilingual English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

Provide a consistent, optimal customer experience on the cash line while handling deposits, withdrawals, payments, and other typical teller transactions.
Answer customer questions about products and services and fulfill basic servicing requests, including card requests, information changes, PIN resets, check reorders, and basic problem resolution.
Develop customer relationships and remain informed about customers’ relationships with the bank.
Educate customers about standard consumer products and digital banking solutions, including mobile, online, and ATM offerings.
Assist branch colleagues with basic tasks to help resolve customer problems.
Refer customers to internal experts when complex financial goals or needs are identified.
Follow bank processes and procedures and applicable laws and regulations; complete duties assigned by the Branch Manager and help manage, identify, and report operational risks.
Contribute to branch targets and goals by identifying customer needs and providing appropriate guidance about Regions’ solutions.
May make outbound calls using customer and prospect lead lists to explain emerging technology and assist with customers’ financial needs.
