About The Position

The Rehabilitation Therapy Technician I supports rehabilitation therapists and helps deliver patient care in an inpatient rehabilitation setting. The role includes supporting daily therapy activities, preparing and transporting patients, setting up equipment, maintaining a safe working environment, and collaborating with therapists, nurses, and the broader healthcare team. The technician helps facilitate communication with patients, families, and caregivers and shares observations and outcomes of patient care activities with therapists.

Requirements

• Has completed elements required for clinical ladder Rehab Tech I or equivalent training in school or on-the-job training.

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification is preferred, unless hospital policy requires otherwise.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support therapists’ daily patient care and therapy activities.
• Facilitate effective communication with patients, families, and caregivers.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to maintain patient safety and deliver patient-centered treatment.
• Prepare and transport patients according to the patient schedule.
• Communicate observations and outcomes of patient care activities to therapists.
• Set up equipment and maintain a safe working environment.
