About The Position

Encompass Health is hiring a Rehabilitation Therapy Technician I to support rehabilitation therapists and help deliver patient care. The role includes preparing equipment, maintaining a safe environment, working closely with therapists and nurses, and supporting patient-centered rehabilitation activities. The technician also helps communicate with patients, families, and caregivers, prepares and transports patients according to schedule, and reports observations and outcomes to therapists.

Requirements

• Completion of elements required for clinical ladder Rehab Tech I, or equivalent training in school or on-the-job training.

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification is preferred, unless hospital policy requires otherwise.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support therapists’ daily patient care and therapy activities.
• Facilitate effective communication with patients, families, and caregivers.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to maintain patient safety and deliver patient-centered treatment.
• Prepare and transport patients according to the patient schedule.
• Communicate observations and outcomes of patient care activities to therapists.
• Set up equipment and maintain a safe working environment.
• Work closely with therapists and nurses.
