About The Position
Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Treasure Coast is seeking a Rehabilitation Therapy Technician I to support rehabilitation therapists and provide exceptional patient care. The role involves preparing equipment, maintaining a safe environment, and working closely with therapists, nurses, and the broader healthcare team. The technician helps facilitate patient-centered rehabilitation and communication with patients, families, and caregivers.
Requirements
- Completion of elements required for clinical ladder Rehab Tech I, or equivalent training in school or on-the-job training.
Nice To Haves
- CPR certification is preferred, unless hospital policy requires otherwise.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Support therapists’ daily patient care and therapy activities.
- Facilitate effective communication with patients, families, and caregivers.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to maintain patient safety and deliver patient-centered treatment.
- Prepare and transport patients according to the patient schedule.
- Communicate outcomes and observations from patient care activities to therapists.
- Set up equipment and maintain a safe working environment.
