About The Position

The Rehabilitation Therapy Technician I supports rehabilitation therapists and contributes to patient care by preparing equipment, helping maintain a safe environment, and working closely with therapists, nurses, patients, families, and caregivers. The role includes preparing and transporting patients according to their schedules and communicating observations and outcomes from patient care activities to therapists. The position is full time, Monday through Friday during normal business hours, with weekend rotation as needed.

Requirements

• Completion of elements required for clinical ladder Rehab Tech I, or equivalent training in school or on-the-job training.

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification is preferred unless hospital policy requires otherwise.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support therapists’ daily patient care and therapy activities.
• Facilitate effective communication with patients, families, and caregivers.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to maintain patient safety and deliver patient-centered treatment.
• Prepare and transport patients according to the patient schedule.
• Communicate observations and outcomes of patient care activities to therapists.
• Set up equipment and help maintain a safe working environment.
