About The Position

The Rehabilitation Therapy Technician I supports rehabilitation therapists and contributes to exceptional patient care in an inpatient rehabilitation setting. The role involves preparing equipment, helping maintain a safe environment, assisting with therapy and patient-care activities, and working closely with therapists, nurses, patients, families, and caregivers. The position is described as part of a supportive team focused on patient-centered rehabilitation.

Requirements

• Completion of the elements required for clinical ladder Rehab Tech I, or equivalent training in school or on the job.

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification is preferred unless hospital policy requires it.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support therapists’ daily patient-care and therapy activities.
• Facilitate effective communication with patients, families, and caregivers.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to maintain patient safety and deliver patient-centered treatment.
• Prepare and transport patients according to the patient schedule.
• Communicate outcomes and observations from patient-care activities to therapists.
• Set up equipment and help maintain a safe working environment.
