About The Position

The Rehabilitation Therapy Technician I supports rehabilitation therapists and contributes to patient care in an inpatient rehabilitation setting. The role includes preparing and transporting patients, setting up equipment, maintaining a safe environment, and working with therapists, nurses, and the broader healthcare team to support patient-centered treatment. The technician also communicates with patients, families, and caregivers and shares observations and outcomes from patient care activities with therapists.

Requirements

• Completion of elements required for clinical ladder Rehab Tech I or equivalent training in school or on-the-job training.

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification is preferred, unless hospital policy requires otherwise.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support therapists’ daily patient care and therapy activities.
• Facilitate effective communication with patients, families, and caregivers.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to maintain patient safety and deliver patient-centered treatment.
• Prepare and transport patients according to the patient schedule.
• Communicate observations and outcomes of patient care activities to therapists.
• Set up equipment and help maintain a safe working environment.
