About The Position
The Rehabilitation Therapy Technician I supports rehabilitation therapists and helps deliver patient care. The role involves setting up equipment, maintaining a safe working environment, collaborating with therapists and nurses, and supporting daily patient care and therapy activities. The technician also communicates with patients, families, and caregivers; prepares and transports patients according to the schedule; works with the healthcare team to support patient safety and patient-centered treatment; and shares observations and outcomes of care activities with therapists.
Requirements
- Complete the elements required for clinical ladder Rehab Tech I, or have equivalent training in school or on the job.
Nice To Haves
- CPR certification is preferred, unless required by hospital policy.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Support therapists’ daily patient care and therapy activities.
- Facilitate effective communication with patients, families, and caregivers.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to maintain patient safety and deliver patient-centered treatment.
- Prepare and transport patients according to the patient schedule.
- Communicate observations and outcomes of patient care activities to therapists.
- Set up equipment and help maintain a safe working environment.
