About The Position

The Rehabilitation Technician supports the Therapy Department at Kindred Hospital South FL- Hollywood. The role helps prepare patients for prescribed treatment, assists professional staff with patient treatment, and maintains treatment areas, equipment, and supplies. It also includes routine clerical work for the department and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CPR certification.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Appropriate telephone communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• 6–12 months of relevant experience is strongly recommended, preferably in a rehabilitation setting.

Responsibilities

• Transport, lift, transfer, move, and reposition patients in patient rooms, the Therapy Gym, and other common areas of the hospital.
• Prepare patients for prescribed treatment and assist professional staff with patient treatment.
• Prepare, clean, and maintain treatment areas and equipment.
• Procure and maintain an accurate inventory of therapy supplies.
• Perform routine clerical tasks for the Therapy Department.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
