About The Position

The Rehab Aide works under the direct on-site supervision of rehabilitation clinical staff, performing routine duties that help the department provide quality care and operate efficiently. The role supports patient transportation and treatment sessions, maintains treatment areas and equipment, coordinates schedules, and performs supply, clerical, and reception tasks. The Greater Manchester Region includes Manchester Memorial Hospital, Rockville General, a multispecialty provider group, and visiting nurse services.

Requirements

Good English communication skills, both verbal and written.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Interest in the healthcare field.
Basic personal computer skills using Windows-based Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

Transport patients safely, promptly, and comfortably.
Coordinate patient schedules with department personnel and communicate changes to appropriate individuals.
Check patient name bands to ensure the correct patient is being treated.
Clean, sterilize, and prepare whirlpools according to department protocols.
Clean treatment areas and equipment routinely.
Assist clinicians with patient transfers, ambulation, and mobility training.
Assist and monitor patients during treatment sessions as directed by the clinician.
Complete clinician-requested errands accurately and promptly.
Distribute linen to treatment areas regularly or as needed.
Order supplies routinely as directed by the managing clinician.
Perform clerical and reception duties, including insurance authorizations, filing, patient scheduling, and answering phones.
Perform all duties using proper body mechanics.
