Outpatient Therapy Rehab Aide
About The Position
A Rehab Aide assists licensed therapists in providing physical, speech, and/or occupational therapy treatments in accordance with state practice and professional guidelines. The role helps maintain a safe and clean environment by cleaning equipment and clinic space, monitoring inventory, ordering supplies, and performing administrative duties to support front-end staff as needed. Rehab Aides may work in inpatient, outpatient, and/or skilled nursing or long-term care settings. The position is supervised by Rehab Services management and requires positive working relationships with other health professionals and ancillary staff.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED.
- One year of healthcare experience.
- CPR/BLS certification from the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or American Safety and Health Institute.
Responsibilities
- Provide non-skilled patient care activities as directed by a therapist or therapy assistant.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment by wiping down equipment, preparing mat tables for the next patient, managing soiled linens, and ensuring equipment is ready for use.
- Assist with patient communication regarding schedules or appointments.
- Assist with audits and reports, and answer phones.
- Maintain appropriate supply levels, stock shelves, monitor inventory, and order supplies.
- Assist with training new employees, students, and volunteers.
