Therapy Aide Outpatient Physical Therapy
About The Position
The Therapy Aide is a non-licensed worker trained under the direction of a Physical Therapist to perform designated routine tasks related to operating a physical therapy service. When providing direct service to patients, the aide may work only with continuous on-site supervision by a Physical Therapist or, where allowed by law or regulation, a Physical Therapist Assistant. The position works under direct supervision. Work situations are generally routine but require attention to detail. Internal contacts occasionally include other patient services staff. External contacts are extensive with patients and may also include patients’ families and physicians. This is a 1.0 FTE day-shift position scheduled Monday through Thursday for 10-hour days.
Requirements
- High school graduation or equivalent is preferred.
- At least one year of experience in a Physical Therapy department or related training is preferred.
