Therapy Aide Outpatient Physical Therapy
About The Position
This is a non-licensed position specifically trained under the direction of a Physical Therapist to perform designated routine tasks related to operating a physical therapy service. When providing direct patient service, the aide may work only with the continuous on-site supervision of a Physical Therapist or, where permitted by law or regulation, a Physical Therapist Assistant. The position works under direct supervision. Work is generally routine but requires attention to detail. Internal contacts occasionally include other patient services staff. External contacts are extensive with patients and may also include patients’ families and physicians.
Requirements
- High school graduation or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum of one year of experience in a Physical Therapy department or related training preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform designated routine tasks related to the operation of a physical therapy service under the direction of a Physical Therapist.
- Provide direct patient service only with continuous on-site supervision by a Physical Therapist or, where legally permitted, a Physical Therapist Assistant.
