About The Position
Join ATI Physical Therapy’s collaborative team as a Physical Therapy Aide, supporting patient care and recovery while gaining healthcare skills and exposure to physical therapy. Work alongside Physical and Occupational Therapy professionals and receive hands-on training and mentorship. The role supports patient check-in and registration, clinician scheduling, patient onboarding, and treatment-area preparation. It also involves assisting patients with exercises and their prescribed home exercise programs and sharing progress feedback with the therapy team.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Healthcare and/or customer service experience.
Nice To Haves
- Healthcare experience, such as Physical Therapist Aide/Technician, Medical Assistant, hospital employment, chiropractic, fitness industry, or PT and PTA student experience.
- Certified Personal Trainer experience.
- Experience or education in Health Services, Exercise Science, or Kinesiology.
Responsibilities
- Greet and interact warmly with patients by phone and in person during check-in and throughout appointments.
- Support an efficient patient intake and registration process and assist clinicians with timely scheduling.
- Onboard new patients by reviewing paperwork, verifying benefits, and completing medical forms.
- Prepare and clean treatment areas and set up and adjust exercise equipment for Physical Therapists.
- Monitor patient progress and provide feedback to the therapy team.
- Assist patients with exercises and support their prescribed home exercise programs.
