Rehab Therapy Aide
About The Position
Riverside Regional Medical Center is hiring a part-time Rehab Aide to join its acute care therapy team. The position is 30 hours per week and is benefits eligible. It may suit someone with a background in exercise science or rehabilitation-centered patient care. A Rehab Aide assists licensed therapists in providing physical, speech, and/or occupational therapy treatments in accordance with state practice and professional guidelines. The role supports a safe, clean environment by cleaning equipment and clinic space, monitoring inventory, ordering supplies, and performing administrative duties to support front-end staff as needed. The aide may work in an inpatient, outpatient, and/or skilled nursing or long-term care setting. The position is supervised by Rehab Services management and works in coordination with other health professionals and ancillary staff.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED is preferred.
- One year of healthcare experience is preferred.
- CPR/BLS certification from the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or American Safety and Health Institute is preferred.

Responsibilities
- Provide non-skilled patient care activities as directed by a therapist or therapy assistant.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment by wiping down equipment, preparing mat tables for the next patient, and managing soiled linens.
- Ensure equipment is ready for use.
- Assist with patient communication regarding schedules or appointments.
- Assist with audits and reports.
- Answer phones.
- Maintain appropriate supply levels, stock shelves, monitor inventory, and order supplies.
- Assist with training new employees, students, and volunteers.
