Rehab Therapy Aide
About The Position
Riverside Regional Medical Center is hiring a part-time Rehab Aide to join its acute care therapy team. The position is 30 hours per week and is benefits eligible. It may suit candidates with a background in exercise science or rehabilitation-centered patient care. A Rehab Aide assists licensed therapists in providing physical, speech, and/or occupational therapy treatments in accordance with state practice and professional guidelines. The role supports a safe and clean environment by maintaining equipment and clinic space, monitoring inventory, ordering supplies, and performing administrative duties as needed. Rehab Aides may work in inpatient, outpatient, and/or skilled nursing or long-term care settings. The position is supervised by Rehab Services management and involves maintaining positive working relationships with other health professionals and ancillary staff.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED.
- One year of healthcare experience.
- CPR/BLS certification from the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or American Safety and Health Institute.
Responsibilities
- Provide non-skilled patient care activities as directed by a therapist or therapy assistant.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment by wiping down equipment, preparing mat tables for the next patient, and managing soiled linens.
- Ensure equipment is clean and ready for use.
- Assist with patient communication regarding schedules or appointments.
- Assist with audits and reports, and answer phones.
- Maintain supply levels, stock shelves, monitor inventory, and order supplies.
- Assist with training new employees, students, and volunteers.
