About The Position

The Rehabilitation Aide works in a fast-paced neuro-rehabilitation outpatient clinic, providing direct assistance to patients while working closely with physical, occupational, and speech therapists. The role also includes managing computerized billing documentation and transporting clients to community activities in a company van. The position offers exposure to specialized neuro-rehabilitation therapy frameworks and is described as suitable for career caregivers seeking a clinic environment or pre-health students seeking patient contact hours.

This is a full-time, Monday-through-Friday position with no weekends or holidays.

Requirements

• High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).
• Demonstrate effective and professional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Be able to relate to and work with disabled, ill, elderly, emotionally upset, and sometimes hostile people within the facility.
• Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Maintain a valid driver's license and current auto liability insurance coverage.
• Have motor vehicle driver record background check results within acceptable company standards at hire and annually thereafter.
• Have a minimum of two years' experience driving a motor vehicle.

Nice To Haves

• A minimum of six months of prior work or volunteer experience providing individual instruction in a healthcare environment is preferred.
• Previous patient-care experience in a rehabilitation center is preferred.
• Therapy students are considered.

Responsibilities
