About The Position

A Rehab Aide assists licensed therapists in providing physical therapy, speech therapy, and/or occupational therapy treatments in accordance with state practice and professional guidelines. The role supports a safe, clean treatment environment by maintaining equipment and clinic space, monitoring and ordering supplies, and performing administrative duties to support front-end staff as needed. The Rehab Aide may work in an inpatient, outpatient, and/or skilled nursing or long-term care setting. The position is supervised by Rehab Services management and works positively with other health professionals and ancillary staff.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED (preferred).
• One year of healthcare experience (preferred).
• CPR/BLS certification from the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or American Safety and Health Institute (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide non-skilled patient care activities as directed by a therapist or therapy assistant.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment by wiping down equipment, preparing mat tables for the next patient, and managing soiled linens.
• Ensure equipment is ready for use.
• Assist with patient communications regarding schedules or appointments.
• Assist with audits and reports.
• Answer phones.
• Maintain appropriate supply levels, stock shelves, monitor inventory, and order supplies.
• Assist with training new employees, students, and volunteers.
