About The Position

This position is for a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach Taxation I (ADM3345B) during the Fall 2026 semester at the Telfer School of Management, University of Ottawa. The course provides a general knowledge of the Canadian Federal Income Tax system as it relates to individual taxpayers, including the calculation of taxable income and income taxes payable. The teaching method will be delivered in person, but may change due to health measures or other reasons. Requirements

  • MBA or Master's degree (Ph.D. preferred) in the area of taxation.
  • Recent professional experience directly related to the course content.
  • Teaching experience, preferably in the area of taxation.
  • Demonstrate competence in the second language (Passive).

Nice To Haves

  • Professional accounting designation (CA, CMA or CGA).
  • Master's or PhD degree.

Responsibilities

  • Teach Taxation I (ADM3345B) during the Fall 2026 semester.
  • Deliver the course in person.
  • Provide instruction on the Canadian Federal Income Tax system for individual taxpayers.
  • Cover tax provisions for calculating all sources of taxpayer income to arrive at taxable income.
  • Instruct on the calculation of income taxes payable by an individual taxpayer.
