About The Position

Determination of taxes payable for corporations in non-routine transactions, evaluation of tax consequences or tax planning opportunities for shareholders and their closely held corporations and for complex corporate transactions, including restructuring transactions, the determination of taxes payable for individuals in non-routine transactions, the evaluation of tax planning opportunities for individuals, including estate planning opportunities, determination of tax consequences for non-residents.

Requirements

  • MBA or Master's degree (PhD preferred) in accounting, preferably in the area of taxation.
  • Demonstrate recent professional experience in taxation for individuals and corporations.
  • Good knowledge of ASPE and IFRS.
  • Teaching experience in graduate or advanced undergraduate accounting courses, preferably in the field of taxation.
  • Experience of teaching with cases.
  • Familiarity with the current CPA Professional Education Program.
  • CPA professional accounting designation.
  • Ability to teach in English.
  • Passive competence in a second language.

  • PhD in accounting, preferably in the area of taxation.

  • Teach Advanced Competencies in Taxation (CPT5103 Section A00) during the 2026 Fall Semester.
  • Deliver instruction in person.

  • Determine taxes payable for individuals in non-routine transactions.
  • Evaluate tax planning opportunities for individuals, including estate planning.
  • Determine tax consequences for non-residents.
