About The Position
This position is for a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach CPT5100B00 - Advanced Competencies in Financial Accounting during the 2026 Fall Semester at the Telfer School of Management. The course covers non-routine accounting transactions, complex financial instruments, consolidation, revenue recognition, and emerging trends in financial reporting. The teaching method will be delivered in person.
Requirements
- MBA or Master's degree (PhD preferred) in financial accounting.
- Recent professional experience in financial accounting.
- Extensive knowledge of ASPE and IFRS.
- Teaching experience, preferably in graduate courses or advanced undergraduate courses.
- Experience teaching with cases.
- Familiarity with the current CPA Professional Education Program.
- CPA professional accounting designation.
Responsibilities
- Teach Advanced Competencies in Financial Accounting (CPT5100B00).
- Deliver instruction in person.
- Potentially adapt teaching methods due to health measures or other reasons.
