About The Position

This course introduces students to the financial statements of an organization and the accounting system that produces them. Emphasis is placed on understanding the role the financial statements play in communicating meaningful information about the firm, and how estimates and accounting policy choices affect the numbers in the statements.

Requirements

  • Must have an MBA or Master's degree (PhD preferred) in accounting.
  • Must demonstrate recent professional experience in accounting.
  • Must provide evidence of recently undertaken professional development in the area of IFRS.
  • Must be a student eligible for the Student Part-Time Professor position.
  • Must successfully complete all mandatory legislated training.

Nice To Haves

  • PhD in accounting is preferred.
  • Competence in a second language is passive.

Responsibilities

  • Teaching the Financial Accounting course (ADM1340C) during the Fall 2026 semester.
  • Delivering instruction in person.
  • Potentially adapting teaching methods due to health measures or other reasons.
  • Completing all mandatory legislated training as required by provincial law.
