About The Position

This posting is for a Regular Part-Time Professor position to teach ADM4348B, Special Topics in Financial Accounting, during the Fall 2026 academic period at the Telfer School of Management. The course covers specialized topics in financial reporting, including accounting for not-for-profit organizations, leases, benefit plans, and corporate income taxes. The teaching mode is in-person, but may change due to health measures or other reasons. Requirements

  • MBA or Master's degree (PhD preferred) in financial accounting.
  • Demonstrate recent professional experience in accounting.
  • Evidence of recently undertaken professional development in IFRS.
  • Extensive knowledge of financial reporting, including not-for-profit accounting, leases, pensions, and future taxes.
  • Knowledge of both International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE).
  • Teaching experience, preferably in financial accounting.
  • A professional accounting designation (CA, CMA or CGA).

Nice To Haves

  • PhD in financial accounting.
  • Teaching experience in this specific area.

Responsibilities

  • Teach Special Topics in Financial Accounting (ADM4348B, Section B) during the Fall 2026 semester.
  • Deliver the course in person.
  • Potentially adapt teaching methods due to health measures or other reasons.
  • Successfully complete all mandatory legislated training as required by provincial law.
