About The Position
This position is for a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach Qualitative Methods (CMN3103-D00) during the Winter 2027 semester. The course introduces ethnography and other qualitative methods for understanding communication phenomena, including participant observation, case studies, and focus groups, with a practical application of these methodologies. The course is scheduled for Fridays from 17:30 to 20:30 and will be offered in person. The University of Ottawa is committed to diversity, inclusion, and creating a barrier-free work environment. Requirements
- PH.D. or M.A. in communication (preferably) or related discipline
- Excellent knowledge of qualitative research methods in the field of communication studies
- Knowledge or expertise in the use of qualitative data analysis software
- Successful completion of all mandatory legislated training as required by provincial law
