About The Position

This position is for a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach the course 'Thèmes choisis en droit' (DRC4731), focusing on remedies and procedures before federal courts. The course aims to familiarize students with the main remedies under federal jurisdiction and applicable procedural rules. Through an approach combining theoretical foundations and practical experience, this course offers students a concrete introduction to practicing before federal courts, notably through experiential activities. The Civil Law Section seeks to recruit part-time professors who are leaders in the legal profession.

Requirements

  • Possess an LL.L or J.D. degree
  • Be a member in good standing of the Barreau du Québec (or its equivalent)
  • Have experience in litigation
  • Possess significant practical experience before federal courts
  • Master the rules of federal courts

Responsibilities

  • Familiarize students with the main remedies under federal jurisdiction and applicable procedural rules
  • Offer students a concrete introduction to practicing before federal courts
  • Incorporate experiential activities into the course
