About The Position

Introduction to strategies, processes, and theories of social innovation and social change. Series of practical seminars where students will develop creative solutions to various social problems. Students will complete a community-based placement or project through the Community Engagement Learning (CEL) program using the skills they have learnt in class.

Requirements

  • PhD in Social Innovation or completed Ph.D. coursework in Social Innovation.
  • Demonstrable track record of expertise in the field of social innovation and community engagement.
  • Previous teaching experience in similar courses or through publications in the field.

Responsibilities

  • Teach Social Innovation and Community Engagement course (SCS3130 D00) during the 2027 Winter Semester.
  • Develop and deliver course content including practical seminars.
  • Facilitate the development of creative solutions to social problems.
  • Oversee community-based placements or projects through the Community Engagement Learning (CEL) program.
  • Complete all mandatory legislated training as required by provincial law.
