About The Position

The Faculty of Engineering at the University of Ottawa is seeking a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach Project Information Management (ON LINE) for the Winter 2027 semester. This course (MEM5119) covers topics related to contractual relationships in project teams, contract types and applications, project document preparation, evaluation of project organization structures and delivery systems, bidding strategies, and network analysis for time and cost management. The position is limited to a Regular Part-Time Professor.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or engineering required.
  • Solid industry track record in professional and managerial role(s) related to project information management as well as technology project initiation, development and management required.
  • Must successfully complete all mandatory legislated training as required by provincial law.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's in management or engineering preferred.
  • PhD an asset.
  • Experience as CTO and/or CIO or higher-ranking role in engineering management in a technical/technological firm is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in post-secondary teaching and/or professional development instruction preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Teach Project Information Management (ON LINE) course (MEM5119).
  • Cover topics relating to the contractual relationship within the project team, including different types of contracts and their application.
  • Cover the preparation of project documents.
  • Cover the evaluation of different types of project organization structures and associated project delivery systems.
  • Cover bidding strategies.
  • Cover network analysis using deterministic and stochastic methods for time and cost management.
