About The Position
The Faculty of Social Sciences, School of Sociological and Anthropological Studies is seeking a Regular Part-Time Professor for the Fall 2026 semester to teach SOC7540 A00, Advanced Quantitative Methodology. This course will cover advanced quantitative data analysis methods, including multivariate analyses, their application in sociological literature, research projects, problem formulation, theoretical frameworks, quantitative approach selection, research ethics, and data collection tool development. The position is limited to regular part-time professors.
Requirements
- Hold a doctorate in sociology or have completed doctoral coursework in sociology.
- Demonstrate expertise in advanced quantitative methodology, evidenced by teaching identical or similar courses or by publications in this field.
- Successfully complete all mandatory legislated training as required by provincial law.
Nice To Haves
- Competence in a second language (passive).
Responsibilities
- Teach advanced quantitative data analysis methods, including multivariate analyses.
- Apply these methods within the sociological literature.
- Guide students in research projects, including problem formulation and theoretical framework establishment.
