This position is for a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach NUT3107 A01 (LAB) - Food Microbiology during the 2026 Fall Semester. The course covers basic concepts of food microbiology, including food as a growth medium, natural microflora and food spoilage. It also addresses methods for detecting and controlling microorganisms responsible for food spoilage and foodborne illness, microbiological processing and spoilage of main food types, the use of fermentative microbial flora in food preservation and processing, good practices in food processing, and food hygiene and safety, as well as current trends in the food industry. The role involves the implementation of theoretical principles learned in the lecture portion of NUT3107, preparing and restoring the laboratory, and instructing students in person on campus.
