About The Position

This posting is for a Regular Part-Time Professor position in Global Information and Communications Policy (ISI6312-A00) for the Fall 2026 semester at the University of Ottawa's Faculty of Arts, School of Information Studies. The course will examine contemporary policy issues related to global information and communication systems and institutions, analyzing how various actors' interests and abilities influence policy outcomes. It will also provide an opportunity to apply policy analysis tools and techniques. The course is taught in English and is scheduled for Fridays from 14:30 to 17:30 in person.

Requirements

Ph.D. or master's degree in information studies (preferred) or a related field.
Specialization or teaching experience in the subject matter.
Professional experience in a field related to the course (preferred), such as policy analysis and communications policy.
Satisfactory teaching evaluations.
An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience.
Employees are required under provincial law to successfully complete all mandatory legislated training.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Teach Global Information and Communications Policy (ISI6312-A00) during the Fall 2026 semester.
