About The Position

The Department of Criminology at the Faculty of Social Sciences is seeking a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach CRM3728, "Régulation sociojuridique dans la communauté" (Socio-legal Regulation in the Community) for the 2027 Winter Semester. This course offers a critical analysis of socio-legal regulation modes characterizing certain forms of community-based penalties, such as therapeutic support, electronic monitoring, probation, suspended sentences, and conditional release. It examines the contexts of emergence, impacts on individuals concerned, and the expansion of these regulation modes into the social world. The course is offered in French and is in-person.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Criminology or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of the subject matter.
  • Demonstrable track record of subject knowledge through previous teaching experience in the same or similar course and/or research in the field.
  • Successful completion of all mandatory legislated training.

Nice To Haves

  • Competence in a second language (passive).
