This course, PSY3526 Section A00, is a Fall 2026 offering in Intercultural Psychology within the School of Psychology at the Faculty of Social Sciences. The course will cover the definition of culture, its impact on psychological processes such as cognitive development, sensation and perception, and social behavior. It will also address communication across cultures, ethnic relations in a multicultural society (including racism, racialization, and xenophobia), the psychological effects of culture change, mental health and well-being among immigrants and refugees, and culture-centered assessment and psychotherapy. Current research in cultural psychology will also be explored. The course component is a lecture, and it is proposed to be delivered in-person.
