About The Position

This position is for a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach Introduction to Community Engagement (AHL2300 Section A00) during the Fall 2026 semester. This interdisciplinary course introduces civic and community engagement, focusing on developing reflexive practice and critical thinking skills for experiential learning activities. The course is scheduled for Mondays from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM and will be offered in person. Requirements

Experience of successful teaching experiential learning, community service or community engagement courses at the university level, or in a closely related field.
Experience of successfully teaching university-level courses with an imbedded experiential learning component in collaboration with the Michaëlle-Jean Centre.
Ph.D. studies in a field related to social engagement and social entrepreneurship, with evidence of expertise in critical and reflexive methodologies (publications, projects).
Evidence of strong commitment to volunteering, community service and community engagement, as demonstrated through C.V.
Competence in English (language of instruction).

Responsibilities

Teach Introduction to Community Engagement (AHL2300 Section A00) during the Fall 2026 semester.
Develop and deliver course content focusing on interdisciplinary introduction to civic and community engagement.
Foster the development of reflexive practice and critical thinking skills for experiential learning activities.
Conduct the course in person on Mondays from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM.
Adhere to the guidelines and collective agreements governing the hiring process.
