About The Position

The University of Ottawa is seeking a Regular Part-Time Professor for the Quantitative Methods course (CMN3102-D00) during the 2027 Winter Semester within the Department of Communication. This course will survey and apply major quantitative concepts and techniques relevant to communication studies research, including computer analysis of data, descriptive and inferential statistics, measurement, and questionnaire design. Students will administer a survey to statistically test hypotheses. The course will be offered in person and is scheduled for Mondays from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM and Thursdays from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM. Requirements

Ph.D. or M.A. in Communication (preferably) or related discipline.
Excellent knowledge of quantitative research methods in the field of communication studies.
Knowledge or expertise in the use of quantitative data analysis software.

An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience.

Responsibilities
