About The Position
The Faculty of Arts, Department of Communication is seeking a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach CMN3103-C00: Qualitative Methods. This course introduces students to ethnography and other qualitative methods for understanding communication phenomena, including participant observation, case studies, and focus groups, with a practical application of these methodologies. The course is scheduled for Mondays from 19:00 to 22:00 and will be offered in person. The expected enrollment is 75 students, and the course is worth 3 credits.
Requirements
- PH.D. or M.A. in communication (preferably) or related discipline
- Excellent knowledge of qualitative research methods in the field of communication studies
- Knowledge or expertise in the use of qualitative data analysis software
