About The Position

The Department of Philosophy at the Faculty of Arts is seeking a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach PHI1101-C00, Reasoning and Critical Thinking, during the Fall 2026 semester. This course focuses on developing fundamental skills in reasoning and critical thinking by studying argument types, logical structures, evaluation criteria, and fallacious reasoning. The course is to be taught in person, and the instructor will be responsible for developing a syllabus subject to the approval of the Director of Undergraduate Studies. The mandatory textbook for the course is "Principles of Reasoning: And Introduction to Critical Thinking" by Paul Rusnock. Requirements

  • Ph.D in Philosophy.
  • Experience in teaching at university level in Philosophy.
